On June 21, 2023, at the Red Cross offices in Milan we held the graduation event of the #ReadyForIT "IT Support and Cybersecurity" course provided by Academy Rapido.

  During the day, diplomas were awarded to 47 students who successfully completed the course and they were offered the opportunity to meet with companies for their future professional placement.

During the event there has been some speeches:

• Alessio Vagnarelli, Lucia Cresta and Asif Ramin, Avanade employees moderated by Elena Atzeni of UNHCR Italy
• Milena Barra, HR of Asystel Italia and Alice Bagnati HR Business Partner of Fondazione Gi Group moderated by Ludovica Ghizzoni of Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS and Stefano Rovelli of The Human Safety Net

At the Festival of Sustainable Development organized by Asvis, we presented #ReadyForIT, the IT training program for NEETs, refugees and migrants.

#ReadyForIT is the result of a team effort, made possible by the extraordinary partners who have chosen to contribute to its realization: foundations with financial resources, tech academies with the delivery of high-quality courses, companies with in-kind contributions and with the selection of students, and above all the participants who are attending the courses and those who have already completed them and are ready to embark on a career in the IT sector.

Special thanks to the speakers who shared their experience during the event:

• Alessandro Palmieri of AcademyRapido and Paolo Alberico Laddomada of Talents Venture, the project's tech academies
• students Kazem Hossain Rezaie and Fatima Shefaie moderated by Najeeb Arghistani
• Magalí Zoppo of Avanade, representing companies that hire students

Together with AcademyRapido, we reached an important milestone: the first class of Afghan asylum seekers and refugees completed the "IT Support & Cyber Security" course!

On June 9, at the end of the course, during the graduation ceremony, students received a certificate of participation.

All 7 students and all 7 students:

• have obtained the Google certification of Support IT Professional
• are ready to start working with the role of Technical Support and Cybersecurity, or to continue training as web/mobile developers
• have improved their Italian, have a laptop...and much more!
